The Squids Power Tool Traps offer a convenient connection point for tool lanyards, for safe and easy tethering on difficult to tether cordless power tools. Housing a secure connection point for a lanyard, the power tool trap prevents this kind of tool from becoming a dangerous dropped object. The 3780 Power Tool Trap features two hook and loop straps, a nickel plated D-ring for tool lanyard attachment, and a slot on the side to accommodate the belt hook.
The power tool trap is available in two sizes. The larger 3780L fits older style nickel-cadmium batteries, while the smaller 3780S, fits newer lithium-ion batteries. To attach the power tool trap to the tool battery, undo both hook and loop straps and open up the trap. Place the tool into the bottom of the power tool trap, fitting the belt hook through the slot on the side. Take the vertical hook and loop strap located on the top, and wrap it around the bottom of the trap. Next, take the horizontal hook and loop strap and secure it near the back of the trap. The front of the tool should be facing the V-shaped opening, and the D-ring should hang off the back of the trap. Attach a tool lanyard to the D-ring on the back to complete your tethering system. The Squids Power Tool Trap allows full function of cordless power tools while tethered.
