From reducing waste to incorporating sustainable materials and practices whenever and wherever possible, the Blue Marble mission honors the need to do better without compromising quality or performance, ensuring every worker heads home safe, sound and happy when the whistle blows.
Sustainability must be sustainable. And what you see laid out before you is the start of what is an honest and realistic approach that we know will only grow from here.

Abiding by the 3Rs
Further proof that everything you need to know you learned in kindergarten. Be kind. Wash your hands. Use your inside voice and reduce, reuse, recycle.

"Built like a brick icehouse! I am fairly confident that this cooler will outlive me."
Durability is a core value
One thing we’ve always believed in and built our reputation on: durable > disposable.
Our solutions are designed to outperform and outlast. We've always been guided by the belief that better quality and performance ensures safer workers and less waste, and is something we are committed to continuing to prioritize in our design and innovation process. This can best be seen through case studies like this one.
ECO-FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS WITHOUT SACRIFICING SAFETY
We're sourcing high-performance, post-consumer materials to provide sustainable solutions within our line. With these additions, we aim to help others achieve their sustainability goals without ever sacrificing on performance or safety.

Protecting the blue marble shouldn't make you lose yours
We know it ain't easy bein' green. So look for icons like this one throughout ergodyne.com to help clearly identify products with a sustainability story to tell.
Packaging
We hate to burst your bubble wrap, but...
According to the EPA, packaging contributes 77.9 million tons of municipal solid waste per year—with almost 95% ending up in landfills, oceans or scattered in the atmosphere. We can't cut it out entirely, but we can deliver progress by reducing waste and embracing recycled materials to minimize our environmental impact.

Less Material
Whether it's minimizing materials or providing bulk buying options, getting smarter with packaging doesn't just contribute to a smaller environmental footprint, it can lead to lower production costs that we can pass on to you.
This overhaul has been underway for some time and, on average, we are seeing a reduction of 25% of packaging material.
Better Material
Today it's delivering your work gear, tomorrow it's storing your miniature spoon collection. Who says you can't teach an old box new tricks? Well... nobody. Nobody says that because it's not a thing, but we digress. Point is, we're moving to incorporate more recycled materials and recyclable packaging solutions that can live on to work another shift.

Partners
You are the company you keep
We're not fighting this good fight alone. Meet our sustainability sidekicks. Our eco-conspirators are helping us stand up to waste and weariness wherever it rears its ugly head.

Distribution Center
Our primary fulfillment center is stacked high with sustainable considerations and enhancements:
- Avoids wetland and habitat preserves
- All lighting is LED for energy efficiency
- Environmentally friendly landscaping and hardscaping
- Infiltration and biofiltration basins to reduce runoff and increase biodiversity
- Material recycling: up to 50% of the exterior wall panels use recycled aggregate, foam insulation, steel and exceed the minimum required insulation R-value
- Building design includes clerestory windows to provide natural lighting which illuminates occupied spaces
RECYCLING MADE EASY
Bin there, recycle that. Almost everything, actually. We’re a proud supporter of the TerraCycle Foundation, an organization revolutionizing waste management on job sites and keeping plastics out of our oceans by recycling the “unrecyclable”.

CIRCULAR PACKAGING
We embrace EcoEnclose's vision for circular packaging (meaning packaging is made from packaging and becomes packaging again at the end of its useful life) and have made the switch to their sustainable shipping solutions whenever possible.
PRINT BETTER
Print gets a bad rap. But our collaboration with SmartPress ensures our printed materials reflect our commitment to sustainability and innovation, helping set new standards for environmental stewardship in print.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
ISEA (International Safety Equipment Association) brings manufacturers of safety equipment and technologies together, providing a crucial forum for information sharing and industry action—including an active and evolving conversation around sustainability.

Real Change Starts At Home
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has."

In-House Sustainability Committee
What's wishcycling? What does that number mean on the bottom of my takeout container? Can I put shopping bags in the recycling bin? This dynamic delegation of do-gooders works to educate and empower the Ergodyne team, helping us all make the small but meaningful changes in our daily habits that can lead to positive change.
We are getting active in our community starting with a park clean up event on Earth Day followed by restoration activities like tree and wildflower planting. Small but important changes add up.
“It is crystal clear from up here that everything is finite on this little blue marble in a black space, and there is no planet B.”
